2008 to 2009
Being a longtime fan of Gapingvoid cartoons, I found no better words to make a New Year’s resolution than:
Change the World or Go Home!
What I want from the bottom of my heart in 2009:
- To see change happen in the Romanian Online Industry from mentality to tech and products.
- To see more web companies group under the flag of Social Media.
- To see more companies understand the necessity of reaching out to their audience and/or users.
- To see more individuals benefit from awesome marketing tools like Twitter and use them wisely.
- To see web and Social Media literacy spread around like a virus.

I have a couple of events to run in 2009. And I want some of you to join me in the process.
That’s Geek Meet, Ro Tweet Meet and Social Media Club waiting at the door…
Anyone but me willing to give an ounce of their time to make these happen?
Anyone but me seeing the urgency of a co-working space in Bucharest?
Let us not just work for a company and leave our passion at the desk after Shut Down.
Let’s build community.

Maybe several web agencies working together on some pro-bono project might help build the community. I ha e a couple of ideas for needed projects.
Anyway – don’t worry, you are not alone in this endeavor – everybody wants it but you are probably one of the few that can afford to dedicate more time to the initiative 😉

I want to write my master`s paper on Social media marketing, so count me in. Any books/links/pdf recommendations/lendings, would be of great help.
